UPDATE FROM ERIC SUNG, CEO & PRESIDENT

With the help of our global partners and colleagues, the past quarter has been another positive and productive one for Intellian. As vaccination programs advance and the world finally looks with hope towards the return of normality, we’ve continued to push forward with our mission to empower connectivity and ensure that Intellian is at the core of communication solutions for every market.

INTELLIAN HQ

A key step in this endeavor was realized in June when we announced the opening of our new Research and Development Center, adjacent to our headquarters in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. Our real estate investments continue, with a new European Headquarters and Logistics Center due for completion this summer in Rotterdam. This facility will streamline product delivery to customers and is a clear indication of our commitment to the region, in addition to the upcoming move of our UK team to new offices in London. In Maryland, USA, we are opening a new facility focused on emerging technologies, bringing new talent and ideas into our business.

JAPANESE CERTIFICATION

Great news from Japan this week - our v85NX and v100NX have obtained Japanese TELEC certification. This means they are all certified to conform to the technical standards, regulations and requirements imposed under the Radio Act of Japan and the products can now be used by the Japanese market. This is a significant milestone for our Partners and Customers in the region, as the v85NX and v100NX joins a wide range of other Japanese certified Intellian products.

v45C AVAILABLE NOW!

We’re delighted to inform you that we have global availability of our v45C. Having commenced production and shipping of the v45C to our Global Logistics Centers, the v45C is now available for your customers to buy. The newest addition to our Compact Range, the 45cm VSAT system, is designed to bring high-speed connectivity to a variety of smaller vessels, from fishing boats to patrol craft, as well as yachts and workboats, where space is at a premium.

COMMERCIAL IMPLICATIONS OF LEO - GSMA REPORT

GSMA partnered with key industry players Intellian Technologies, OneWeb and SoftBank Group Corp. to produce their latest Radar Report, 'Connectivity from the Sky', which focuses on the commercial implications of scaled LEO constellations and targeted HAPS deployments, and the potential effect on internet access for consumers and businesses.

A huge thanks as always to our Partners and Customers, for sharing their installation insights. From superyachts to submersibles, each vessel has their own unique communication challenges and requirements.
Such diverse range of situations create excellent case studies, which are always great to learn from.

It’s been another excellent quarter for our NX Series, with impressive market adoption. The world’s first Ku-Ka dual-band convertible GEO/HEO/MEO/LEO VSAT terminals have proven themselves time after time, for thousands of customers. Jon Harrison might be known to us as our General Manager for EMEA and Vice President of Communication Systems, but before joining Intellian Jon had a colorful career at sea.
He shares the trials and tribulations of a life afloat, together with how communications play a vital part in sailors’ wellbeing – a fact clearly highlighted by the COVID pandemic, which made this more apparent than ever before.

Continuing to serve our customers during the challenges of COVID-19 has been our priority. Shorter lead times and agility is key. Our strategically located Global Logistics Centers combined with advanced, predictive ordering and tracking tools ensure that Intellian is always stocked and ready to get products to customers as efficiently as possible. For all businesses, down-time costs money – the speed with which Intellian delivers from order to install is a huge benefit to customers. Intellian’s regional approach ensures seamless product and spares delivery to customers, wherever they are.

INTELLIAN WEBINARS

Our webinars (past and future!) are a great way to learn more about our products and markets. With live demonstrations, product overviews and expert insights, they offer an accessible, approachable route to keeping in touch with Intellian and satellite communications. We’re particularly looking forward to catching up with Monkey Fist Adventures on the 22nd July to discuss the highs and lows of their Atlantic Dash row and their experience using our Iridium Certus terminal, the C700. The interview will take no more than 30 minutes followed by a 15 minute Q&A session.
